Screen Direction

For over 15 years, Simon’s work has covered short films, corporate and commercial video production, TVCs, and web series. He has also spent the last 8 years training up-and-coming filmmakers at Australia’s largest film school, SAE Film.

Many of Simon’s films have been screened in festivals across the world, winning awards including best film and best director. Simon takes a hands-on approach to the creation of story worlds with a strong background in design and immersive exhibition.

With over 20 years of people management experience, Simon aims for a collaborative, small ‘d’ approach to direction (having been trained in the Mark Travis technique). Feel free to request links to some of Simon’s award-winning film work.

Production Design

Since 1998 Simon has worked in the visual arts and film production delivering award-winning direction for a number of film projects.

With a background as a creative director for one of Australia’s leading exhibition design companies, Simon has honed his skills in immersing audiences into elaborate story worlds. Recreating 1940s Germany in South East Qld, no problem. Designing a Jewish concentration camp in Poland, piece a cake. Simon is a visual storyteller obsessed with detail – ask us how we can bring your story world to life whatever the period.
